objective:

Create a series of images of client for artist promotion

Process:

My client is a musician, and wanted to create a series of photos to use for promotion and album art. In our consultation, he expressed that although his career is just starting, he wanted to look like he was well on his way to success and fame, and already embodies embodies the talent to be "on top." It was important to him that we capture his youthful and playful nature, his style, and subtly reference his queer identity. My concept was to use an opulent crown juxtaposed with trendy streetwear clothing. He would gaze at the crown above him to symbolize his rise to "the top." The image of his hands allowed us to show his creative identity that references Black culture and streetwear style, while also portraying his ambiguity as an emerging musician. I shot my client with my Canon T6i and edited using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
